Cave Creek Trail Run
is canceled for 2016

Help preserve 4,000 acres of open space. Run this amazing trail run on challenging, primitive trails through beautiful Sonoran Desert.

Volunteers

You, the volunteers, are in integral part of the Cave Creek Trail Run. You'll help direct traffic, set up the course, run the water stop, hand out finisher medallions and cheer on the athletes. Below are the various positions available for volunteering. Please select one or more, if you are available, and submit it to us. As a small token of our appreciation, every volunteer will receive a t-shirt, pizza on the set-up day complements of The Bad Donkey and race day volunteers will receive a gift certificate the is redeemable at one of 6 restaurants in Cave Creel

Positions Available

Friday, March 25th 
******Course Set-Up: 3 people needed. Arrive 4pm. We'll meet at a TBD area to discuss setting up the course. You will be working in partners walking a section of the course, pound rebar in the ground and assemble the signs, laying out flour and clipping clothespins with ribbon on them to trees, shrub, whatever. Please be in decent physical shape and bring a sledge hammer, gloves, headlamp and a backpack if you have one.
  I will have bottled water and pizza for you.\
******Packet Pick-Up at ?????: 2 people needed. You will be checking in the participants and handing out their packets from 2pm - 6pm    


Saturday, March 26th
******Parking Control: 2 people needed. Arrive 5:45am. You will be guiding the participants to parking spots.
You’ll be done with this position around 6:55am

******Race Day Packet Pickup: 3 people needed. Arrive 5:45am You'll be checking in the participants and handing out their packets.

 This position will be done at 6:55am.

******Volunteer Check-In: 1 person needed. You will be assisting me checking in the volunteers, giving them their instructions, guiding them where to go and giving them any gear needed. This position will be done around 6:45am.


Course Monitor:  1 person needed. Arrive 6:30am. You'll be out on the course guiding the participants. You will need to be able to walk to your position on a dirt trail.

 

Water Stop: 4 people needed. Arrive 6:30am. You'll be filling and handing out water to the participants as they pass by.

 This position will be done around 8:30am.

Timing: 3 people needed. Arrive 6:45am. You'll be assisting our official timer.
 This position will be done around 9:30am or whenever the last finisher crosses the finish line.

Route Sweep: 3 people needed. Arrive at 6:45am You’ll will be assigned to either 2k, 5k or 10k and follow the last person letting the volunteers out on the course you are the last and that your distance is clear. Please specify if you prefer a particular distance.

Finish Line Medallion: 2 people needed. Arrive 6:45am. You'll be handing the "medallion" to the finishers. This position will be done around 9:30am or whenever the last person crosses the finish line.

Food Prep and Distribution: 2 people needed. Arrive 6:45am. You'll be preparing the food, such as cutting the oranges and bananas and keep food supplies stocked.
You’ll be done when the event is done, around 9:30am
