2K Kid's (12 & under) Desert Awareness Fun Run starts at 7:10am
Course Description
Hey kid's, do you want to come out and have a great time in the beautiful Sonoran Desert while learning about it and saving it as well? This route will take over you some beautiful land, land that we are trying to save so you have a place to play. You are going to run or walk on dirt roads, on small trails, in sandy washes, up over some hills and down some steep ones too. It's going to be rocky so you'll need to watch your step. There are lot's of plants and cactus to see. If you're lucky, maybe you'll see some wildlife like a coyote, javelina, snake, lizard or bob cat. You will receive a desert identification sheet (like a scavenger hunt) for you to fill in while you are out on the trail. You will also need to keep an eye out for an egg. There will be one egg out on the course. Whoever finds it and brings it back will receive a special prize. PLEASE NOTE: You do NOT have a water stop and we will NOT have cups (doing our part to reduce trash). Please bring a full water bottle or hydration pack. We will be more than happy to refill it for you at the finish line.

Cancellation Policy
There are NO REFUNDS. You can cancel up to 15 days prior to the event for a transfer to a future Cave Creek Open Space fundraising event within the next 12 months. Within 14 days there are NO TRANSFERS. You also have to option of donating you the entry fee for a tax deductible donation.
